A Raptor to get your attention
So, this has been going on this whole week. I can’t view all comments on posts. Kinja only lets me to press the Load more comments button once while in Staff discussion bar and when trying to access Community it doesn’t seem to load any more comments but removes the Staff/Community/Pending selection altogether.
Anyone else having the same issue?

That’s been happening with Chrome on my desktop (but not my laptop) for a week or two. Edge is still working on my desktop though.

I almost exclusively use Oppo with Opera.

Something definitely changed. Even t he Kinjamprove browser extension t hat I’ve been using to help make Kinja tolerable no longer works.

Opera is based on Chromium these days, so it’s not shocking that a bug would break both Chrome and Opera.
TheBloody, Oppositelock lives on in our shitposts.

Yes, it takes refreshing the page a couple of times for it to come back
Kinja and the devs that work on it are garbage.

You should try replying on an iPhone. It’s a night mare. Usually takes about 5 minutes to write a brief sentence and post it.

I had that problem. Try disabling adblocker or add exemption for https://oppositelock.kinja.com/

Horrendous - longer the post/thread, the worse.

Yeah.. . I got the sense that h e was keeping an eye out for posts tagged “kinja help”, but I’m not sure if anyone is doing that anymore .
Sure, w e can still contact the tea m through e -mail, but sometimes it’s just better to use the Kinja platform itself (when it’s functional enough to do so ) .

I want to know who decided to make you click a button to load comments. Especially on Oppo; hiding the comments on Jalopnik or Deadspin or Jezebel is understandable because they are toxic thought poison, but Oppo is about telling people to buy cars. Can't do that without comments.

Yup, it’s not just you. I browse in Opera usually and have the same exact problem. In Firefox there’s no comments at all. In Chrome, everything still works. For now.
Mobile doesn't seem to be effected.

It’s a dumpster fire.
I’m sure that pressure from above (more ads) definitely isn’t helping anything.
It’s a shame. Making a vital, diverse community’s platform for communication nearly unusable isn’t very positive for the long-term health of that community. They’ll eventually go elsewhere.

Pretty sure that’s exactly what they want you to do.

Yup. It’s bad. The one place where I want to read the comments, and I friggin’ can’t read them all unless I open up Chrome. Hate it.
